For decades Pakistan has orchestrated a campaign of state-sponsored terrorism in India and elsewhere abroad. It bombed trains in Mumbai in 2006, conducted a series of outrageous attacks on the city in 2008, and has launched dozens of minor attacks on the Indian security services in Kahsmir and elsewhere.

Volumes 1 and 2 covered the rise of the CIA’s cover operations in Laos. Volume 3 covers the gradually escalating CIA-supported overt operations, foremost including the build up and combat deployment of the regular Royal Lao Armed Forces.

The final volume of Target Saigon examines the final campaigns of the conflict in Vietnam, in which the Communist forces engaged in a highly mechanized war of maneuver.

The third volume in this series describes the final communist offensive against South Vietnam. As always, this volume is supported by a large number of previously unpublished photographs, color maps and color profiles showing camouflage and markings of tanks and aircraft.

This book details CIA-supported paramilitary operations in Laos during the height of the conflict in that kingdom, from late 1969 through the conclusion of agency participation in 1974.

Between 1961 and 1974, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of the USA trained, funded, and led tens of thousands of indigenous guerrillas in the Kingdom of Laos in the course of a unique ‘top secret’ paramilitary campaign against communist opponents.

During the 1950s and 60s relations between the USSR and PRC deteriorated to the point that on 2 March 1969, the Chinese army attacked Soviet border guards around Damansky Island, and on 15 March, a much larger battle took place with casualties in the hundreds.

This study may be the most detailed and objective work on the theme of the 1969 Sino-Soviet border war.
